As a Freshmen at Central High School, Cedric took journalism courses which would play a major role later in life. Cedric began recording at a young age and performing in different showcases (community centers, churches, prisons) throughout the city, Although Cedric was known for battle rapping in high school; it wouldn’t be until 2006 in Hawaii, he would elevate his artistry. It was then Cedric Bellamy opted The name Legacy. This is when Legacy begin to walk in his purpose as an artist and activist. During this time Cedric served in The United States Army, in the unit 2-27 Wolfhounds or 25th ID. There he met independent producer and NCO Elvin Vega. Prior to establishing his own company and brands Streetligion Production LLC, Legacy City served in The US Army for a decade, then moved to San Antonio, Texas. After arriving in SATX, Legacy City made his debut as a Spoken Word Artist (Poet). With great reviews for his poetic skills, he soon became a well known crowd pleaser and room shaker. He received invitations to perform throughout Texas. Legacy City would go on to win multiple awards and receive numerous accolades for his Spoken Word performances.
Legacy City’s growing presence in San Antonio would soon lead to hosting at community and citywide events. Currently he Hosts for San Antonio’s newest poetry spot, R&B and Poetry Vibe. An event which affords local and traveling artist to showcase their talents. It further grants local artist to share the same stage with celebrity artists; most recently Legacy City hosted an event featuring Lyfe Jennings. Legacy City has been featured on ThisIs50.com, Hot 97 Artist Spotlight, DJ Clue’s Desert Storm Radio, and Rude Boy Magazine during his rise in San Antonio. He was a leading activist during the largest Martin Luther King Jr. March in the nation. While attending this historical event, Legacy City was fortunate to meet and interview The Freedom Riders of Mississippi. Since arriving in San Antonio Legacy City was requested by members of the NAACP to perform at the 109th NAACP Annual Convention in July 2018.

2013 - 2019 CEO, Rapper, Activist, Producer, Entrepreneur
In 2013 Legacy was stationed in Fort Bliss, Texas, as a Non Commissioned Officer (Squad Leader). While assigned to DUTY STATION Legacy partnered with his longtime military mentor Elvin “LegacyTrackz” Vega. With the support of his producer and mentor LegacyTrackz; in July 2013. Elvin “LegacyTrackz” Vega Invested thousands of dollars into Legacy’s first professional project “Let the Hatin Began.” Due to deployments and military obligations, the project did not meet the expected outcome. After the deployment Legacy and Elvin would bounce back with Legacy’s Sophomore Album. In 2013 Legacy also launched The StreetLigion Shoe Company, his shoes were in demand during his time in Europe.
Due to medical issues during his daughter’s birth, Legacy was forced to make a decision that would change his life forever. Legacy chose to end his military career and move to San Antonio, Texas, so his daughter could receive the medical care necessary to save her life. With his military career behind him; Legacy spent nearly two years working to provide for his daughter’s demanding medical care, often leaving him without a bed to lie in. When not working to provide for his daughter, Legacy immersed himself in the world of music. He studied, learned and followed his purpose; until the release of the viral single Double Apple. Legacy met his first manager Will “FLUX” White in 2016, a few days before The Double Apple release party. After attending the release party; Legacy and FLUX started working on image and musical content. After FLUX listened to the self-titled album Legacy City, he changed Legacy name to Legacy City and begin introducing him as the hottest thing town. Even though (now) Legacy City was new to San Antonio, his accumulated streams on SoundCloud were over 7.5 million. When Legacy released “Keep On Fighting” on Martin Luther King Jr. Day, it opened the door to Ms. Neka Cleaver and Tha1Radio. After Tha1Radio interview with Legacy City, doors started to open in San Antonio. Legacy City was then introduced to Marissa McKinney and Putt Away Cancer. He soon became a Putt Away Cancer AmbassaWord Poetry, Legacy City unleashes a crowd pleasing performance, which received a standing ovation. Legacy City continued to gain momentum in 2016 in San Antonio, when he was asked to perform spoken word in Austin, Texas by the top Spoken Word Artist. Legacy City linked with “Flaunt” from FDG Records and collaborated to release Reason2Live. He was also featured in ThisIs50.com, Hot 97 Artist Spotlight, DJ Clue’s Desert Storm Radio, and Rude Boy Magazine. By the end of 2016 Legacy City was requested and performed at SXSW Conference Festival and December 19th won Artist of The Year, at Tha1Radio Award Show. Things begin to change for the better In 2017 for Legacy City, he became the Co-host of the Award Winning Radio Show, Rhema Gospel Express With Host Ambassador James Lockhart of KROV-FM San Antonio, Hip Hop and R&B Community Radio. With more opportunities opening up for Legacy City, he Debut The StreetLigion Dream Week Cypher which was hosted by 98.5 The Beat by Dana Cortez Anthony A & Dj Ultra Sonic, with features from Legacy City, Jeneaa Moore & Mr Composition. He also produced Thomas Bryant’s - We Win that Debut at #69 on the iTunes Chart. When Legacy City met play writer Michael Gray, he was invited to perform as an actor. Never one to shy away from a challenge, he debut his acting career as Michael The Arch Angel, an onstage Shadow At the Alter play, performed before a live-audience. During Father’s Day Legacy City was invited to open The standup show Laugh Out Loud Comedy Event where he dazzled the audience with Spoken Word Poetry. From 2017 to 2020 Legacy City Co-Hosted The Food For Soul Experience Tour, alongside Brandy Wine an Independent Artist Showcase with live band.
Ever an activist at heart, Legacy City joined the largest MLK March in The USA, in the city of San Antonio, Texas. During the march Legacy City met and interviewed The Freedom Riders of Mississippi in January 2018. He also interviewed Roland Martin and Miss Black San Antonio during the The MLK March. Legacy City went on to launch StreetLigion Studios on APRIL 26, 2018, where he begin podcasting and consultations for independent talent. He later performed for The 109th NAACP Annual Convention at The 2018 NAACP Experience in July 2018. When Legacy City wasn’t at StreetLigion Studios, he was hosting several events around town. He hosted The SATX Soulfood Festival for a sold-out crowd on July 18th. On July 19th he headlined at The NAACP HipHop Summit, with keynote speaker Anthony Anderson (Comedian). With his name buzzing around town, Legacy City was invited by CEO Avar The Star to became the host for The Operation Put The Tone On (OPTTO) Events. His OPTTO hosting events include Lyfe Jennings (R&B singer), Rodney Perry (standup comedian), Case (Platinum Artist, Grammy Nominated), J Holiday (Platinum & Grammy Nominated) and more. In November 2018 Legacy City Executive Produced LaLa Maria’s Debut Album It’s A Love Story, which accumulated 500K + on Spotify The Spotify Charts. In 2019 Legacy City recorded the Platinum EP from Devin James, making history by being the first artist to achieve platinum status. Legacy City further produced The Power of Prayer by Gospel Artist TheDeavine1 which went Gold with over 600K + streams.

On February 29th, 2020 Legacy City made history at the first-ever Black History program at the city hall in the town of Budda, outside of Austin, Texas. Also on February 29th, 2020 StreetLigion elevated from a media company & recording label to a mass media company, with the expansion of StreetLigion Nation Radio as an independent platform for artist. I Am The Change (IATC) is a nonprofit organization that was founded on February 29th, 2020 by Cedric Bellamy. The purpose of the organization is to make a difference in the community, one person at a time by providing opportunities that they may not otherwise have. IATC Mission is “To provide the tools, resources, and education needed to empower others. Impact the individual, Impact the community.” In March 2020 Legacy City launches StreetLigion Nation podcast shows, Battle of The Sexes and The Black Table. During the Covid 19 Pandemic Legacy City figured out a formula to keep Indie artist productive and compensated for their talent and contributions on major platforms (ie spotify). In 2020 Legacy City also signed with John P. Baker of the award winning APLAZ Management. June 17th 2020 Legacy City produced the hit single “Talk About Heaven” by TheDeavine1 that reached over a million + steams. June 21st 2020 Legacy City produced La La Maria’s sophomore album “Emotionally Driven,” which accumulated over 1.5+ million streams, becoming the first female artist at StreetLigion Productions. December 22nd, 2020 Legacy City brought attention to mental health for black men, with his highly anticipated album “Let Me Vent,” the album currently sits at Gold with features LaLa Maria, Sence The Way, Jefa Jones, and Knowlege August 13th 2021 Legacy City released the highly anticipated followup to Let Me Vent, “I’m Still Venting, which features artist from his hometown. After becoming the number one mass media company in San Antonio; on October 6th, 2021 Legacy City was interviewed by Camilla Rambraldi, the award winning 2 time emmy nominated anchor/reporter for KABB/WOAI, which is FOX and NBC affiliated in San Antonio, Texas.
