His latest single ‘Get Ready’ features his distinct characteristics but mainly his skill to put his emotions across through the lyrics. DMR: How do you compare yourself to your past self?
AgeeBxby: Well I’m more self aware and aware of my surroundings and aware of purpose.
DMR: Has music always been on the cards for you or is it something that happened overnight?
AgeeBxby: Yeah it always been something written in the stars for me. I always wanted to be a performer and entertainer.
DMR: Following the release of this new hip-hop single, you’ve gained much attention, how do you feel about it?
AgeeBxby: It feels good but now that I know what I know it’s no room to celebrate just move forward and build.
DMR: For how long have you been writing songs?
AgeeBxby: I been writing songs since I was probably nine…Yeah when I was in Paul revere elementary school I just use to sit and write down rhymes.
DMR: Is there any fixed motivation or someone who has inspired you throughout?
AgeeBxby: I mean the money the connections is what inspired and inspires me but Lil Wayne was my biggest influence lol what’s funny is Juvenile is the person who made me wanna be a rapper that Set it off video had me turnt.
DMR: What is your music all about?
AgeeBxby: My music is all based on my emotions my energy at the moment so rather it’s hip/hop lyrical or street trap or pop or reggae dancehall reggaton what I feel alongs it feels right.
DMR: How do you summarize your musical journey so far?
AgeeBxby: I only been making music since September 2020 So it feels good Spoke to Two labels Universal and Republic Records Shout out to them Appreciate they interest and insight but I’m I’ll say it’s like a Joy ride
DMR: What are the main values you try to incorporate into your anthems?
AgeeBxby: Energy is everything to me When you make music make it relatable to everyone if you can but give your energy in to it actually care bout it.
DMR: What has been your fondest memory so far?
AgeeBxby: When Republic records called me about a deal *smiles
DMR: Any plans to go live in the future?
AgeeBxby: I’m thinking bout moving Mia and that’s where I want to break as an artist so I’ll be there soon.
DMR: Do you ever worry about fame or is it just connecting with your fans?
AgeeBxby: For me it’s both.. I want a cult like following and I want to connect with every single one of them. Make them my family.
